There are three basic file formats available. These are Microsoft Word 6.0, Lotus Wordpro, and Rich Text Format. We thought of using more recent formats but felt that older ones can be accessed by more people. If none of these is suitable, please let us know and we will see if we can convert the file into a suitable format.
All file sizes are approximate.

Guides
We have also produced a small number of rather more detailed guides, which run to around 40 pages and describe, with examples, the work which is undertaken on specific types of project.
Our two current guides are: Selecting Computer Systems Formats: word6 (104 k) G-CSel-w,
Lotus (314 k) G-CSel-l,
RTF (278 k) G-CSel-r. Formats: word6 (125 k) G-BP-w, Lotus (226 k) G-BP-l, RTF (187 k) G-BP-r.
Checklists, which have been compiled during selection projects based on the 'Selecting Computer Systems' guide are available at a small price (see Checklists). In addition, we have previously produced two guides, which have not been updated, but may be informative.
This guide has not been updated for the changes which occurred in 1999 / 2000, but still provides a useful background and was the basis for around 30 successful projects Formats: word6 (67 k) G-Qual-w, Lotus (116 k) G-Qual-l, RTF (88k) G-Qual-r. In addition, pages 10 and 11 are bar charts, printed in landscape and downloadable as: word6 (23 k) G-Q-P10-w & (20 k) G-Q-P11-w Lotus (345 k) G-Q-P10-l & (342 k) G-Q-P11-l RTF (17 k) G-Q-P10-r
& (25 k) G-Q-P11-r
Selecting MicroComputer Systems This guide was originally produced, around 1990, for internal use in large organisations. It is very out of date but can be mildly amusing in terms of how life has changed Formats: word6 (81 k) G-Mic-w, Lotus (121 k) G-Mic-l, RTF (125 k) G-Mic-r.
We have also started work on two additional guides but have suspended work because of both pressure of work and insufficient demand for these guides. We may resume work on these in the future. They are:
IT Strategy Contingency and Disaster Planning
Suggestions for other topics would be welcomed but, be aware, these guides have a gestation time of several months because we start by reviewing all the projects which we have undertaken in the specified area, then produce a draft guide, then have it reviewed by previous clients, colleagues et cetera. After that, it is provided, in draft form, to potential clients, as part of the selling process and, only when there has been adequate feedback, a first published version is then produced.
Any suggestions, please mailto:enquiries@quercetum.co.uk
