What's New???

The purpose of this brief section is to tell you what changes we have made since the last major update to this site, and planned developments.

Latest Changes

In August 2005, a factsheet was added, covering the provision of mentoring advice to IT management.

For the remainder of this site, the latest updates were in March / April 2005, and the previous updates to this site were in October and November 2003.  The changes between these updates included:

-        re-naming of the Selecting Computer Systems sub-web to reflect its true nature of Selecting Computer Applications Software;

-        creation of a new sub-web, entitled Selecting Computer Systems, to act as a link for anybody looking for the old sub-web, and, in future, to provide advice for people either seeking to select equipment or both equipment and applications;

-        restructuring of the site to provide links for imminent future sub-webs covering Implementing IT systems, IT Strategy, and Business Continuity Planning;

-        changing the quick access links at the bottom of the page, of all sub-webs;

-        updating of the What's New? page;

-        incorporating the Implementation Planning part of Selecting Computer Applications Software into Implementing IT Systems, as it is relevant to both.

Future Developments

Planned developments to the site include:

-        expand the new sub-webs and provide additional guides on Implementing IT Systems (imminent), IT Strategy & Business Continuity Planning (Contingency & Disaster Planning), when the sub-webs have been completed;

-        additional checklists, when there is sufficient demand;

-        a new shopping cart;

-        a links page to point to sources for suppliers, and links to many supplier sites;

-        expansion of the Helpful Hints and Types of Business Plans pages.
